Computer-Assisted Surgery (CAS)

Technology that has been tailored to a multitude of surgical processes and is comparable to GPS, providing turn-by-turn instructions for navigating your doctor to tailor the procedure to your particular anatomy, regardless of age or gender. The computer system information allows your doctor to position the implant more accurately and improve the joint replacement function.

For both short-term achievement and long-term results, precise and reproducible positioning of artificial implants is essential in complete hip and knee replacement. To help this, we used computer-aided navigation to help position the implants in both hip and knee processes correctly. In order to do this special computer trackers are temporarily attached to the bones around the joint with small, removable pins during the procedure.
